Encaustic, oil, acrylic, raku, pastels, gouache, bronze...each brings a wonderful and unique set of challenges and each inspires.  Oils smell heavenly.  Encaustics have a surface which could make you swoon. Gouache colors are clean. Raku continues to be an enigma.  It's all good!

I make art when I feel like it, have something to say or, as often as not, because there's something I want to try.  Sometimes I book an exhibit to give me impetus. Creating work for a show is like working on a book.  The pieces need to speak to each other and the thought arc is large.

I am open to interesting teaching opportunities for serious students.
